Finding Your Sweetie After 50
by Linda Fraser, M.A.

Most of us remember adolescent dating and all that entailed. We live our lives and make our plans and all seems to be going well. Then WHAM! Something happens--we're single again, but this time we're not in adolescence. This time we're over fifty and dating isn't the way we remember it.

If you're single and over fifty and would enjoy a date next Saturday night, you need this book. Author Linda Fraser was unexpectedly widowed at 54. After a year of getting her life back together, she started to date and learned that the advice from her single daughters didn't work. Her numerous coupled friends didn't relate to dating either.

Fraser began talking with other singles over fifty as they shared their stories and asked questions. With her older daughter's help, Fraser created a survey and analyzed the results. This book is a culmination of those results, people's stories, and Fraser's experiences, and gives you everything you need to create a dating plan that wor ks for you --or for a LaterDater friend or family member.

Linda Fraser

Linda Fraser, M.A., is a professional educator and presenter currently living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has written curriculum for and worked with both high school and adult learners. She currently consults for Minneapolis Public Schools. She is also a member of the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis.

Unexpectedly widowed, Linda entered the world of LaterDating. She quickly learned that the dating world for people over fifty, like herself, was dramatically different from what she remembered or anticipated. The advice of her two single daughters was often not all that applicable. Her numerous coupled friends were unable to relate. Conversations with other single people over fifty included many more questions than answers. These questions, the stories shared by her peers, and her own experiences over seven years of LaterDating inspired this book.

Fraser understood that writing a valid survey and correctly analyzing the results would require more exp erience than she possessed, so she got help. Her older daughter, Molly Coyne, earned a Ph.D. in Education and Molly made sure Linda's survey work was accurate and the statistics were correct.
